Diocese of Grand Island - At The Heart Of Nebraska

The bishop of a Diocese of the Successor of the Apostles. That is, he is ordained by someone who was ordained by someone...who was ordained by one of the Twelve Apostles. The Holy Father appoints each bishop as a spiritual father to a particular diocese.
