World on the occasion of the 21st World Youth Day

World Youth Day is a celebration of Catholic young adult pilgrims from all over the world.  Together with Pope Benedict XVI these pilgrims will gather in Madrid Spain in 2011 to celebrate World Youth Day. We will once again be partnering with Youth in Europe Travel Company to create a great pilgrimage event.

CLICK HERE to download the Initial Registration Form.  This form must be completed and returned to our office no later than February 1, 2010 along with a $300.00 non-refundable deposit.

Who:  Young Adults who are between the ages of 19 and 35 as of August 1, 2011 .

When:  August 10-23, 2011 (Tentative start and end dates)

Where:  Madrid, Spain

Cost: Approximately $4,00.00 for the Diocese of Grand Island Pilgrimage.  This cost will vary depending the currency exchange rates until final payments are made to the travel company. This cost does not include passport fees, tips, additional food or beverages.  You will also need extra money if you want souvenirs or to participate in any side excursions. Requirements: United States Passports will be required for travel to Madrid.  Passports are an additional cost incurred by the pilgrim.  Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after the event.

The policy as set forth by our office and Bishop William Dendinger requires that World Youth Day Pilgrims be at least 19 years old by August 1, 2011 to attend World Youth Day.
