Higher Ground is a retreat program for high school youth with a rich history and tradition.

We are excited this year to partner with Thriva, LLC, a division of the Active Network to process Higher Ground Retreat™ Registrations and payments electronically.  This allows a parent/guardian to create an account that will save all of their information and then they can use the same information to register for other events in the future.  When registering for events through this system, payment will be required with either a credit card or electronic check.  The cost to attend any week is $150.00.  If you choose to ride the bus for Higher Ground or Higher Ground II, the non-refundable round-trip bus fare is an additional $80.00.  Transportation to the Higher Ground College Retreat is the responsibility of the participants.   To register for a 2010 Higher Ground Retreat event, please click the appropriate program:

Higher Ground Reunion

One of the many traditions included with Higher Ground Retreats is the annual reunion.  It is traditionally held about two months after the Higher Ground Retreats season.  This gives participants and staff the opportunity to renew friendships, catch up with what is happening in each others lives and to find out how each others lives have been changed by attending Higher Ground. The reunion includes time for fellowship, celebration of Eucharist often with the Bishop of the Diocese of Grand Island, supper and a dance.  Anyone who has ever been a part of Higher Ground/Outward Bound since its conception in 1965 is invited and encouraged to attend the reunion.
